Ciolna Press was founded in July 2025 by games industry veteran and indie author Keira North.
We combine the polish of traditional publishing with the charm and spontaneity of indie works. Our mission is to uplift exceptional storytellers overlooked by traditional publishing for being too new, too bold, or too far removed from TikTok. While all of our current authors have a background in video games, we're open to submissions from authors worldwide, whether or not they've worked in this industry.
The name Ciolna is an homage to Keira's maternal grandmother, Domnica Ciolna. Born and raised in Transylvania, Domnica was the youngest of seven sisters. She was known for her warmth and kindness throughout her life. Keira credits their grandmother and her extensive book collection for their lifelong love of reading, as well as their first forays into writing.
